Prophecy Update #724 – Digital Dictators

The only way to make sense of what is happening around the world today is to know what is going to happen tomorrow. God has seen fit to tell us a great many things about the future. There are hundreds of yet-to-be-fulfilled prophecies in the Bible.

We reserve a few minutes Sunday morning to suggest news, or trends, that seem to be predicted by a literal, futurist reading of the Bible.

To avoid sensationalism, we are careful to use recognized, reliable sources for news.

We’re not saying the things we report are the fulfillment of prophecy. We’re saying that they are the things you’d expect to be happening in the build-up to the future seven-year Great Tribulation.

The last book of the Bible, the Revelation, is mostly future prophecy. The granddaddy is the Mark of the Beast:

Rev 13:16  … all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave… receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
Rev 13:17  … no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast [antichrist], or the number of his name.

We live at the time in the only time in human history in which it is possible for a universal ‘mark’ to identify every person on Earth. That by itself should stun you.

The Mark, whatever it will be, will render a person a global citizen under totalitarian control. We would therefore expect world leaders to be moving in the direction of global government that strips citizens of their rights. That is precisely the path world leaders are on.

In an video excerpt from the World Economic Forum, the presenter said, “Developing through technology an ability for consumers to measure their own carbon footprint. That’s where they are traveling, how are they traveling, what are they eating, what are they consuming. Individual Carbon Footprint Tracker. Stay tuned, we don’t have it operational yet, but it’s something we’re working on.”

At first, this is just an app for you to download because you would like to help the environment. But eventually, the government will step in and mandate compliance as they track your behavior.

Leaders at the G20 summit have just signed a declaration that states that vaccine passports will be adopted to facilitate all international travel. This means any vaccination the WHO determines you should have will be required or you cannot travel.

This isn’t a globalist conspiracy. This is what they are doing right now in the open.^[1]

The control over buying & selling suggests a global, universal payment system that has eliminated paper money & coins. We describe it by saying future commerce will be cashless.

Digital currency is coming fast. investopedia.com reported, “The Biden administration is moving closer to developing a digital currency for the US, saying it will help strengthen the nation’s role as a global financial leader. It has released a framework outlining the regulation of digital assets, including cryptocurrency and other items of value that exist only in digital form. To make digital transactions easier, the framework suggests the creation of a US central bank digital currency, or CBDC, essentially a central band for a digital form of the US dollar.”^[2]

Another article was titled, NY Fed Launches Digital Dollar Pilot Program With Big Banks.

Excerpts:

Nine U.S. financial institutions, including Citibank, Wells Fargo, and Mastercard launched a pilot program working with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to test the feasibility of a digital dollar.

The list of participants in the pilot program includes BNY Mellon, Citi, HSBC, Mastercard, PNC Bank, TD Bank, Truist, US Bank, and Wells Fargo. Global payments provider Swift is also participating in the effort, along with the New York Innovation Center (NYIC), part of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

The article went on to say, “Other countries have made headway in digital currency development, most notably China. China has tested its digital yuan in several provinces, and the currency is even available to users on the popular app, WeChat.^[3]

Personal identifier… Individual tracking of human behavior… Digital dollar… Global economy. They could all be in place overnight.

There is so much news about these things it is becoming harder and harder to edit for these updates.

We are witnessing the stage-setting for the seven year Great Tribulation that is described in the last book of the Bible.

We will not, however, be on Earth during that terrible Time of Jacob’s Trouble.

The resurrection and rapture of the church are imminent. It could happen any moment; nothing needs to happen before it.

Jesus will come, in the clouds, and raise the dead believers of the Church Age. He will transform the bodies of living believers to glorified, resurrection bodies.

We will join Him in Heaven while the earth endures one final seven-year campaign of severe evangelism.
