The only way to make sense of what is happening around the world today is to know what is going to happen tomorrow. God has seen fit to tell us a great many things about the future. There are hundreds of yet-to-be fulfilled prophecies in the Bible.
We reserve a few minutes Sunday morning to suggest news, or trends, that seem to be predicted by a literal, futurist reading of the Bible.
To avoid sensationalism, we are careful to use recognized, reliable sources for news.
We’re not saying the things we report are the fulfillment of prophecy. We’re saying that they are the things you’d expect to be happening in the build-up to the future seven year Great Tribulation.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ predicts that during the Great Tribulation, every person on the planet will participate in a global socioeconomic system by means of a personal identifier on or in them. In the Revelation, the apostle John called it, “the Mark of the Beast.” Once it is implemented, government will be able to exercise totalitarian control over the population.
Let me give you an example. California legislators are obsessed with Electric vehicles. They can be limited, monitored, controlled – even switched ‘off’ remotely. Restrictions will be made for our health, safety, but especially to reduce our carbon footprint. We will lose the right to choose where we want to got, and when. It will remove all freedom from driving.
I want to point-out something more serious.
The Beast in the Revelation will ultimately have the power and ability to kill anyone who does not swear allegiance to him.
We expect government to be moving in the direction of more control over its citizens, and to be developing remote means to use lethal force.
It is happening in San Francisco.

Eleven years after Arnold Schwarzenegger served as the governor of California, the San Francisco Police Department has a fleet of robots ready for deployment. These robots are cable of deadly force according to multiple sources. Theses are both Robocops and Terminators![1]
One journalist commented, “In Isaac Asimov’s breakthrough novel ‘I, Robot,’ robots achieved sentience, and despite being made to serve humans, started hunting them down. This could soon turn into reality, and it’s starting from San Francisco.”
Borrowing their name from the Terminator franchise, the website, skynettoday.com, “puts AI news in perspective.” They say,
Lethal Autonomous Weapon Systems (LAWS) can take many forms. The common thread pulling LAWS together is lethal autonomy: the ability for these weapons to select and engage with objects, including people or military targets, without human help.
With AI and robotics technology rapidly advancing, experts are warning that so-called ‘killer robots’ are just years, not decades, away. To date no country has deployed LAWS to the battlefield, although at least a dozen are developing them and the technology is advanced enough to do so.[2]
Another website, lethalautonomous.org, states on their home page, “Slaughterbots are here. The era in which algorithms decide who lives and who dies is upon us.”
We are witnessing the stage-setting for the seven-year Great Tribulation that is described in the last book of the Bible.
We will not, however, be on Earth during that terrible Time of Jacob’s Trouble.
The resurrection and rapture of the church are imminent. It could happen any moment; nothing needs to happen before it.
Jesus will come, in the clouds, and raise the dead believers of the Church Age. He will transform the bodies of living believers to glorified, resurrection bodies.
We will join Him in Heaven while the earth endures one final seven-year campaign of severe evangelism.
