Hello there! You've made it to our privacy page.

I bet you're excited!

This information is here for you because:

#1 - It's the law!

and

#2 - We live in a day and age when information and data is more easily accessible than ever before.

We know that your privacy is important. We also know that you, from time to time, will visit calvaryhanford.com, use our app, maybe send us an email or even sign up for our e-newsletter.

Any time you interact with our site (or any website on the internet for that matter), certain amounts of data are shared from your computer.

What follows is an explanation of what data you may be transmitting and how that data may be used.

First, we'll list things in a more plain English version, with a fuller and more detailed policy at the bottom.

COOKIES

When you visit a website, including calvaryhanford.com, a small file containing small amounts of text are sent from our server to your computer. This file is known as a cookie. Sites send one or more cookies to your computer to improve the quality of your visit by storing information on things like your preferences and the pages you visit on the site. This information helps us give you a smoother experience when visiting the site and it helps us identify which parts of our website are used the most.

USER STATISTICS

Our site tracks statistics of people who visit calvaryhanford.com. The type of information that is tracked are things like what browser you used to view the site, what time you visited the site, your general location (city), your IP address and how long you stayed on the site. This information is used to identify general trends and is not used to identify individuals specifically.

USER COMMUNICATIONS

When you send an email or sign up for one of our contact lists, you transmit information like your name, email address and phone number. Calvary Hanford may keep that information indefinitely so that we can get you the information and services that you're requesting when submitting your information. It also helps us respond to your inquiries and it even helps us make our site and mobile applications better!

EMAIL NEWSLETTER

When you sign up for our email newsletter, you may notice that you are routed to a URL that is not calvaryhanford.com. For our email contact list we use a service called MailChimp. It's used by multiplied thousands of churches, businesses, artists and individuals to send out email newsletters. Your information is stored in a secure database on our MailChimp account which we have total control over. According to their own privacy policy, MailChimp does not, under any circumstances, sell your lists, contact people on your lists, market to people on your lists, steal your lists, or share your lists with any other party, unless it’s required by law. MailChimp may contact you if you contact them directly. For our part, the information you give us is only used so that we can contact you effectively and efficiently, never for other purposes.

LINKS

When you click on a link here on calvaryhanford.com or in our mobile app, that information is stored in our statistics logs. Meaning that we are able to track whether anyone clicks on the links we share. We cannot identify specific users, only how many people in general clicked on the link.

DO YOU SHARE MY INFORMATION?

We do not sell, lease or give your information to any other entity or third party unless you do.

What does that mean? Well, there are specifically 2 areas where you are sharing information through our site with a third party:

The first has already been discussed above in the Email Newsletter section. But, to summarize, when you sign up to receive our email communications, you are adding your information to a secure account, controlled solely by Calvary Hanford, on MailChimp.com. The information is not used for other purposes.

The second instance where you might share your information with a third party is when you donate online to Calvary Hanford. For our online donations we utilize PayPal. PayPal is a third party company that connects parties who are transferring funds. In order to utilize PayPal you agree to their terms of service and privacy policy.
